Townsville Relay For Life – May 2010
A fundraising program of Cancer Council Queensland, with teams of 10 to 15 people walking or running around a track for 18 hours to help make a difference in the lives of Queenslanders affected by cancer. A moving aspect of the event is the Candlelight Ceremony in the evening, when the inside of the track is illuminated with thousands of candle tributes, each lit in honour and support of someone fighting cancer or in memory of loved ones.
